Mike Flock PhD

Mike Flock serves as Director on the Industry Partnerships Team and is responsible for working with Pitt faculty and industry partners to identify and cultivate mutually beneficial partnerships. Mike first joined Pitt in 2017 as the Innovation Core Manager at the Clinical & Translational Science Institute, where he managed funding programs and training initiatives. Prior to joining Pitt, Mike worked in the food and dietary supplement industry. As Manager of Innovation and Clinical Studies for General Nutrition Centers, he was responsible for conducting clinical studies in collaboration with academic partners and developing new products. Mike started his career as Senior Research Investigator at DuPont Nutrition & Health, where he investigated the clinical effects of novel food ingredients, managed sponsored research projects, and delivered science communications across various audiences. Mike received his PhD in Nutritional Sciences from Penn State University and BS in Dietetics from the University of Dayton.
