More about the opportunity:

CSL’s Research Acceleration Initiative aims to fast-track the discovery of innovative biotherapies through partnerships between CSL and global research organizations. These partnerships provide funding and access to industry experts for scientists working on novel biotherapeutic strategies in CSL’s therapeutic areas. Pitt faculty are invited to submit pre-proposals by February 16, 2024.

Successful applicants receive up to $400,000 over 2 years and CSL scientific champions will be assigned to each project to provide expert, industry guidance.

Areas of Interest

New antibody/recombinant proteins, peptides, cell therapies, oligonucleotides and/or technologies in the following fields:

• Cardiovascular & Metabolic
• Gene Therapy
• Hematology
• Immunology
• Nephrology & Transplant
• Plasma Protein Research
• Respiratory
• Vaccines

Eligibility

Faculty employed by the University of Pittsburgh are eligible to apply.  Post-doctoral fellows and students are not eligible.
