The University of Pittsburgh announced that Pitt innovators were awarded five U.S. patents in March 2018.
Featured Patent
U.S. 9,915,714 “MSC-SELMQC Method for Simultaneous Mapping of Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids in High Fat Tissues”
Dr. Qiuhong He has developed methods for detecting choline, polyunsaturated fats and lactate that may improve detection of malignant changes in human breast or other fatty tissues. Multiple metabolite markers may improve the accuracy of breast cancer diagnosis. These sequences have been tested in vitro, and data is available.
