USC 101 Patent Eligibility in Blockchain

October 18, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Claims define the boundaries of intellectual property just as property lines define the boundaries of a house. Over the past few years, USC 101 has been clarified with regards to patent eligibility as inventions in the digital space as they do not always produce tangible end results. Our USPTO professionals will dive into the nuances of this topic and highlight examples that best reflect the ongoing discussion of patent eligibility within the blockchain inventive space.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Eastern Regional Outreach Office (EROO) is creating a virtual information series to showcase the underlying technology and various utilities of blockchain and intellectual property (IP). This free event series allows attendees to meet with stakeholders and affiliates in the distributed ledger technology, learn about their current trajectory, dream with them about their future goals, and gain an understanding about the importance of IP protections in this emerging technology.

A question-and-answer session will follow each presentation.

You can register to attend any or all of the webinar sessions. To learn more and to register, please select from the list below.
