Jennifer Ireland joined the Innovation Institute with over 20 years of experience in marketing and commercializing new products. At the Innovation Institute she oversees the program and services strategy to fulfill the needs of the Innovation Institute’s faculty, staff and student customers seeking entrepreneurial training on campus or who are looking for technology licensing opportunities. She is responsible for ensuring that customer expectations are understood and met. She also leads efforts in planning, developing and evaluating the programs and services we offer. In support of this work, Jennifer directs the marketing strategy and planning efforts for our commercialization teams to achieve consistency in messaging aligned with the brand of the Innovation Institute, and increase awareness of the entire organization, its programs, services and technologies.
Prior to the Innovation Institute, Jennifer led and designed the product management function for multiple companies across software, retail, medical device, manufacturing and biotech. She has continually focused on advocating for the customer and ensuring business decisions are influenced by relevant, market intelligence. Jennifer has a BA in Communications from the University of Pittsburgh.
