Jeffrey Depp is currently a Technology Commercialization Associate at the University of Pittsburgh Innovation Institute. Prior to joining the Institute, he spent over a year working in the chambers of United States District Court Judge Nora Barry Fischer working primarily on intellectual property litigation matters. Preceding his time at the federal court, he spent nearly 26 years in the pharmaceutical industry with Merck & Co., Inc. During his time at Merck, Jeff worked in manufacturing, sales and marketing, and respiratory diseases medical affairs. Jeff also spent 3 years working at a small Pittsburgh law firm while working for Merck.
He has a bachelor’s degree chemical and biomedical engineering from Carnegie Mellon. He also has a master’s degree in business from Carnegie Mellon. He earned his law degree from the Duquesne University School of Law. He earned both of his graduate degrees in evening programs while working full-time for Merck. He is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
