Amy Phillips, MBA is a Business Development Manager in the Innovation Institute and Drug Discovery Institute at the University of Pittsburgh. Amy focuses on building strategic relationships between the University of Pittsburgh, UPMC and large Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies through the University’s Pharmaceutical Collaborations Committee. Ms. Phillips joined the University of Pittsburgh in 2001 and has served as a Research Technician in the Departments of Endocrinology and Immunology. She began her business development career at the Office of Enterprise Development (OED) in 2006 as a Technology Analyst through the Heinz Fellowship program and was promoted to Business Development Associate and then to Business Development Manager during her tenure at the OED. In May of 2011, Amy joined Dr. D. Lansing Taylor in the Drug Discovery Institute and currently has a dual reporting structure both through Dr. Taylor and Marc Malandro, PhD Associate Vice Chancellor for Technology Management and Commercialization & Director, Innovation Institute. Ms. Phillips received her MBA from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh and her BS (Molecular Biology) from Westminster College in New Wilmington Pennsylvania.
